Purpose of the EMRTS Service Review:
- To ensure that as many people as possible benefit from the excellent clinical outcomes that the critical care teams of EMRTS deliver (in partnership with the Wales Air Ambulance Charity) where there is currently un-met patient need across Wales (approximately 2-3 patients per day who need the EMRTS service but who currently do not receive it);
- To improve the under-utilisation of clinical teams across the national EMRTS service.
We are engaging on:
- The options to further improve the air ambulance service in Wales, that is delivered in partnership with the Wales Air Ambulance Charity and the Emergency Medical and Retrieval Transfer Service (EMRTS) of NHS Wales.
Your feedback will help the Emergency Ambulance Services Committee (a Joint Committee of Health Boards in Wales) to decide on the best option that will enable as many people in Wales as possible, to benefit from the excellent clinical critical care that the service provides.
